How Many Areas Are in Pokopia? 6 Regions, 5 Main Areas

Pokopia areas guide: the current 6 live map regions, the 5 main-area count players use, and why Bubbly Basin is not a live map area yet.

Quick answer

Pokopia currently has six live map regions on PokopiaMap: Palette Town, Withered Wasteland, Bleak Beach, Rocky Ridges Underground, Rocky Ridges Surface, and Sparkling Skylands. If you roll the two Rocky Ridges layers together, players usually talk about five main areas. Bubbly Basin is not live on the map yet; it is the upcoming Part 1 DLC town planned for August 2026.

Areas vs towns vs regions

Use regions when you are filtering the interactive map. Use towns when you are talking about places you can rebuild or expand. Palette Town is the starter town everyone sees first. Bubbly Basin is the next named town, but it belongs to the paid Expansion Pass and is not a current map page.

Where Bubbly Basin fits

Bubbly Basin is Part 1 of the Expansion Pass, scheduled for August 2026. It is described as an underwater town with new Pokémon, furniture, and a Ditto costume. You should not expect Bubbly Basin pins on the current map until the August update is live and the area can be checked.

To prepare for Bubbly Basin, use the Pokopia DLC guide. The important boundary is simple: Dive comes from the free Version 2.0 update, while the Bubbly Basin town itself requires the paid Expansion Pass.

What to use next

  • Use the interactive map when you already know the area and need exact pins.
  • Use the Habitat guide when an area points you toward a Pokémon build.
  • Use the Pokedex when you need to confirm which Pokémon, habitat, or event status applies.
FAQ
