Visiting someone else's Cloud Island in Pokémon Pokopia is how most players fill late-game Pokédex gaps and grab recipes they can't unlock at home. The mechanics are simple — paste a Link Code, share the host's stamp progress, optionally buy a recipe — but picking the right Cloud Island in the first place is where PokopiaMap helps.

What a visitor actually gets

When you enter another player's Cloud Island, a few things happen:

  • You share the stamp tier the host has placed today. If they've already cleared it, you can flip it to gone for everyone.
  • You can spend coins at the host's shop. Only recipes carry back to your home town; everything else stays on the island.
  • Your Pokédex picks up entries for anything you encounter there, and that progress sticks even after you leave.
  • Event Pokémon and event materials never spawn — Cloud Islands are excluded from events by design.

How PokopiaMap helps you pick an island

Three features on PokopiaMap make visiting more useful than picking lobbies blindly:

  • Wishlist matcher — list the recipes or items you want; PokopiaMap surfaces public Cloud Islands stocking them
  • Photo gallery — hosts upload a few shots of their island; you can scan layout before joining
  • Stamp-status feed — see which lobbies still have today's tier open, sorted by rarity
  • Comments — leave a quick note for hosts; useful when a recipe is gone but the lobby is otherwise good

A visitor's checklist before joining

  1. Check the stamp status — is today's tier still flagged available?
  2. Check the shop slots — does the recipe you want still show in stock?
  3. Glance at the last-active timestamp — dead lobbies waste a join
  4. Look at recent comments — hosts who reply tend to refresh shop slots more often
FAQ

FAQ

  • Can I take recipes I buy back to my home town?

Yes — recipes are the only item type that transfers from a Cloud Island back to your home save. Everything else (materials, food, decorations bought on the island) stays on the island.

  • Do my Pokédex catches on a Cloud Island count?

Yes. Pokédex entries earned on a Cloud Island stay on your save when you leave. This is the main reason late-game Pokopia players cycle through Cloud Islands — for habitat configurations they don't have at home.

  • Why don't I see event Pokémon on any Cloud Island?

By design. Game Freak's event announcements (Hoppip, Sableye, and others) explicitly exclude Cloud Islands from event spawns and event-only material drops. Run events on your home island; use Cloud Islands for filling Pokédex slots and grabbing recipes.
