Dream Islands are pocket islands you reach by giving a Pokémon doll to Drifloon (or Drifblim during certain events). Each doll opens a different Dream Island themed around its species.
How to visit Dream Islands
- Progress until Drifloon spawns near your town and accepts dolls
- Craft a doll from a recipe (for example a Clefairy Doll or Arcanine Doll)
- Hand the doll to Drifloon (or Drifblim during specific events)
- You are carried to a Dream Island themed by the doll's Pokémon
During the Sableye event, the same mechanic uses Drifblim and the Dream Islands gain Red Crystal Clusters, breakable with Rock Smash for Red Crystal Fragments.
The four known Dream Island themes
Multiple official event walkthroughs list four recurring Dream Island themes:
- Rock Peak Dream Island (Clefairy Doll route) — caves and caverns; best for cave-based farming
- Volcanic Dream Island (Arcanine Doll route) — cave-rich volcanic terrain
- Ocean Dream Island — water and beach themed island
- Wasteland Dream Island — barren rocky terrain
Different events promote different islands. The Sableye event specifically calls out Rock Peak and Volcanic Dream Islands as the densest sources of Red Crystal Clusters because their cave layouts spawn more crystal clusters per run.
What Dream Islands are good for
