How to Attract Tyranitar

Tyranitar is a Rock and Dark-type Pokémon in Pokopia. You'll see it most reliably when Mossy rest spot and Toil in the soil habitats are in place, with visits clustering around all day and sunny, cloudy, and rainy conditions.

Tyranitar is rated Very Rare. Very Rare is the toughest tier in Pokopia — needs a fully optimised habitat plus the matching weather and time-of-day window. Most players save these encounters for after the easier tiers are cleared.

To keep Tyranitar returning, lean into the Crush and Bulldoze specialty when laying out the habitat — Pokémon in Pokopia respond to matching gameplay loops more than to raw decor count. If a listed habitat isn't built yet, check the habitat guide cards below for the exact materials and placement notes; Tyranitar usually shares its preferred habitats with a small cluster of related Pokémon, so the build pays off for more than just one entry.

Other Pokémon you'll see at the same habitats as Tyranitar include Larvitar. That overlap is why we recommend planning habitat builds around a cluster rather than a single entry: once the materials for Mossy rest spot are placed, you're effectively staking out spawns for the whole group at once, which is the fastest way to grow the Pokédex without redoing crafting work.

Tyranitar is the evolved form of Pupitar in the wider Pokémon series. Pokopia does not include an evolve action, so attracting Tyranitar means matching its own habitat conditions on this page — Pupitar stays a separate dex entry with its own attraction route.

Use the favourite toggle on this page if Tyranitar is on your current dex priority — favourited entries surface in the planner's long-term goal list, and the habitat cards below link straight to the build recipes that gate the visit.

FAQ

Tyranitar Pokopia — habitat, time, weather, evolution FAQ

  • How do I attract Tyranitar?

Build the Mossy rest spot and Toil in the soil habitats and wait for the all day / sunny, cloudy, and rainy window to open. Rarity tier is Very Rare, which sets how patient you need to be after the habitat is placed.

  • Which Pokémon share the same habitat as Tyranitar?

Other Pokémon visiting at least one of Tyranitar's habitats: Larvitar. Building the habitat once unlocks the entire cluster, so plan around the group rather than the single entry.

  • Can I evolve Tyranitar in Pokopia?

No — Pokopia doesn't include an evolve action. Tyranitar is the evolved form of Pupitar in the wider Pokémon series, but in Pokopia both are independent dex entries. Attract Tyranitar directly using the habitat conditions on this page rather than expecting Pupitar to transform into it.
