Upcoming
Zorua's Hide-and-Sneak Contest runs during Jul 2026 19-27. Before it starts, repair Pokemon Centers, prepare the workbench route, and keep this page ready for the reward path.
Zorua's Hide-and-Sneak Contest runs from July 19 at 5:00 AM to July 27 at 4:59 AM local time. To enter, visit a town with at least one rebuilt Pokemon Center and talk to Zorua outside it during the event window.
Before the contest can appear, rebuild a Pokemon Center in that town, finish Zorua's Bleak Beach request, and unlock the regular hide-and-seek minigame. You also need Pokemon Pokopia Ver. 1.1.1, the correct system time, and an internet connection for first activation.
Your fastest clear sets the reward tier, including a trophy. Multiplayer works in another player's town and on Cloud Islands, but prize ownership differs between the two modes.

The event is upcoming; use this page to prepare materials, prerequisites, and route notes before the window opens.
Island mode
This event has an explicit Cloud Island note in the guide. Read it carefully: Main Island progress still owns the event route, while Cloud Islands are only valid when the guide names them.
How To Start

During the event window, Zorua appears only in a town with at least one rebuilt Pokemon Center. Speak with Zorua standing in front of that center to enter the contest.
The contest appears only after you complete Zorua's request in Bleak Beach and permanently unlock the regular hide-and-seek minigame.
Mechanics

Play repeated rounds and aim for the fastest clear. Your best completion time determines which special-item reward tier you reach.

You can join the contest together in another player's town or on a Cloud Island. The fastest clear among all participants becomes that location's best record.
In another player's town, only the host receives the prize. On a Cloud Island, only the player who sets the best record receives it. Spectator mode cannot join the contest.
Strategy
Update Pokemon Pokopia to Ver. 1.1.1, set the Nintendo Switch 2 clock to the real local date and time, then launch the game while connected to the internet. The first activation requires an internet connection.
If you meet the unlock conditions during the event window, travel to another town or quit to the main menu and restart the game so the event can activate.
The event is supported on Cloud Islands. To play it online in your own town, talk to Zorua and hear the event explanation before starting the communication session; spectator mode is not supported.
Use Zorua's Hide-and-Sneak Contest as a dated route guide, then verify the current in-game state before spending materials. Check the event window, confirm which reward path applies, and decide whether the next step is a challenge, shop exchange, Dream Island farming loop, habitat build, or Pokemon Center interaction. If one prerequisite is missing, put that blocker in the planner and finish the stable map, item, or habitat task first.
