Sableye's Gem Hunt ran during Apr 29 - May 14, 2026. If you came from an older search result, check the current schedule next: Fetch Scales for Feebas, Aug 2026 13-28.
The Sableye Event is the only window in Pokemon Pokopia where Red Crystal Clusters appear in Dream Island caves. Players smash those clusters to earn Red Crystal Fragments, the event currency for camping rewards and Sableye's habitat route.
This guide walks every step: where Red Crystals spawn, how to optimize Dream Island routes, and how to assemble the Treasure-Hunting Set so Sableye joins your village permanently.

Reward path
This event page links 1 Pokemon, 1 habitat, 10 items, and 10 exchange rewards so you can choose the actual target before grinding.
Next steps
Start with Find Sableye at a repaired Pokemon Center. If a prerequisite is missing, pause the event grind and clear the blocker first.
After event
The event is no longer active, so treat rewards as archive/reference content unless the page or item card says the item returns in a later window.
Island mode
This event has an explicit Cloud Island note in the guide. Read it carefully: Main Island progress still owns the event route, while Cloud Islands are only valid when the guide names them.
How To Start

During the day of the event, you will be notified that there is a Pokemon that's the talk of the town at the Pokemon Center . Go to the Pokemon Center in your town and talk to the Sableye in front.
Once the opening conversation is complete, Sableye moves into the Pokemon Center and the event shop becomes part of the route. Check the shop before spending fragments so you know which rewards to prioritize.
Mechanics

Red Crystal Fragments come from event crystal clusters inside Dream Island caves. Bring a reliable breaking option before you enter; Rollout and the Hamburger Steak buff both make the mining loop smoother after Chef Dente is available.
You can access Dream Islands by giving a doll to Drifloon or interacting with one.
We highly recommend giving Drifloon either a Clefairy Doll or an Arcanine Doll since the Dream Islands associated with these dolls have more caves and caverns , which is where Red Crystal Clusters like to spawn.

Spend Red Crystal Fragments at the Pokemon Center shop for the event camping rewards. Check the full exchange list before buying duplicates, because several items also matter for the Sableye habitat route.
Some camping rewards are functional habitat pieces, not just decorations. Reserve the required set before using fragments on optional cosmetics.

During this event, you will be able to befriend Sableye who cannot be obtained outside of the event .
Talking to Sableye at the Pokemon Center handles the friendship step, while the Treasure-Hunting Set gives you the permanent habitat route built from event rewards.

Sableye appears through repaired Pokemon Centers. If the event is active but Sableye is missing, repair the center first and return during the event window.
Pokemon Center repairs are the main readiness check for this event. Before the event window, continue story progress and complete center construction in the areas where you plan to start the route.
Cloud Islands are not part of this event path. Use repaired main-campaign Pokemon Centers for the event Pokemon and shop, then treat Cloud Islands only as valid when the guide names them directly.
Use Sableye's Gem Hunt as a dated route guide, then verify the current in-game state before spending materials. Check the event window, confirm which reward path applies, and decide whether the next step is a challenge, shop exchange, Dream Island farming loop, habitat build, or Pokemon Center interaction. If one prerequisite is missing, put that blocker in the planner and finish the stable map, item, or habitat task first.

Red Crystals are event-exclusive resources that spawn as Red Crystal Clusters in Dream Island caves during the Sableye Event. Breaking a cluster with Rock Smash yields Red Crystal Fragments, the only currency the Sableye event shop accepts.
Sableye's habitat is the Treasure-Hunting Set — a 2x2 arrangement of Adventure Kit, Map and Compass, and Treasure that you build from Red Crystal Fragment exchanges at the Pokemon Center.
The Sableye Event runs from April 29 at 5 AM to May 14 at 4:59 AM local time — about two weeks. Sableye and Red Crystals are unavailable outside this window.
Caves are denser on Rock Peak Dream Island (Clefairy Doll) and Volcanic Dream Island (Arcanine Doll). Give those dolls to Drifbloom for the highest Red Crystal Fragment yield per run.
