Reward path
This event page links 0 Pokemon, 0 habitats, 1 item, and 0 exchange rewards so you can choose the actual target before grinding.
Next steps
Start with Check the PC -> Talk to Pokemon with a Speech Bubble. If a prerequisite is missing, pause the event grind and clear the blocker first.
After event
The event is no longer active, so treat rewards as archive/reference content unless the page or item card says the item returns in a later window.
Island mode
Run event progress on your Main Island route unless an event block explicitly says otherwise. Do not assume Cloud Island visits carry event spawns or event rewards.
How To Start

To begin the April Fools route, check a Pokemon Center PC on April 1. The event starts once the game flags the special daily behavior, so use the PC first before looking for quiz targets around town.
After the PC step, open the Challenges menu and look for the event challenge tied to that day's quiz answers. Use that entry as your progress tracker before you start talking to Pokemon.

Quiz targets are the Pokemon showing a dialogue prompt above them. Speak with those visitors, answer their questions, and return to the challenge tracker if you lose count.
When you speak to a quiz target, read the opening lines as the clue. The Pokemon then drops the imitation and asks you to identify who it was copying.
Mechanics

During the Sudowoodo event, look for Pokemon with dialogue prompts and treat each one as a two-choice identity quiz. The copied dialogue points to another nearby Pokemon, so compare the clue against the local roster before answering.
Quiz clues appear to draw from the local area roster. If you know one biome better than the others, answer the quizzes there first so the possible identities are easier to compare.
Finish the April Fools route by answering three impersonation quizzes correctly. Wrong answers do not punish your save, so use each miss as a clue and keep checking nearby Pokemon until the challenge completes.
Several quiz targets stay available through the day, so you can keep testing clues until the challenge is complete.
Use Copycat Challenge as a dated route guide, then verify the current in-game state before spending materials. Check the event window, confirm which reward path applies, and decide whether the next step is a challenge, shop exchange, Dream Island farming loop, habitat build, or Pokemon Center interaction. If one prerequisite is missing, put that blocker in the planner and finish the stable map, item, or habitat task first.

The Copycat Challenge runs every April 1 — a single 24-hour window from 5 AM to the next day's 4:59 AM local time. The Special Challenge and impersonation quizzes disappear once the day ends.
Interact with any Pokemon Center PC on April 1. A notification points you to the Challenges menu, where a Special Challenge unlocks. Then look for Pokemon with an ellipsis '...' speech bubble in your current area and talk to them.
Talk to Pokemon with the '...' speech bubble; they impersonate another Pokemon, then ask you to pick the correct answer from two choices. Answering three impersonation quizzes correctly clears the Special Challenge and awards the Inflatable Sudowoodo outdoor decoration.
Yes. Time travel back to April 1 on the Switch 2 system clock to retrigger the event — there are no penalties for adjusting the date. If travelling backwards from a later date, first step to an earlier date, then jump forward to April 1.
