How To Start

Bulbasaur is the "talk of the town" Pokemon for this event. You can start the event by talking to Bulbasaur at any Pokemon Center in your game world.
Mechanics

Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest uses the familiar jump timing loop, but the event reward table is separate from the regular minigame. Push for the highest milestone you can, then check the event rewards rather than assuming the normal prize list applies.

You can also invite friends to play with you during this event! Invite a friend to your world, then talk to Bulbasaur to start the contest. During then, you can send your friend an invite to play with you.
In multiplayer sessions, use the host save as the reward reference. The claimed milestone follows the best score reached in that session, but the host is the player who receives the payout.
If you were playing with another friend, you can claim your Jump Rope rewards through your PC .
While on the PC, go to Get Items then select Gifts From Pokemon You Played With . You can then claim your Jump Rope rewards here!

The event will take place in front of any Pokemon Center , whether it has been fully rebuilt or not. You will need to talk to Bulbasaur to start the event.
Cloud Islands, which are multiplayer islands separate from the main campaign , will not be part of the event. This means that you will not be able to play the special event minigame here.
Strategy

If you're playing in single mode, Bulbasaur speeds up whenever an exclamation point appears over their head and makes the rope go faster.
If Bulbasaur starts to sweat , the rope will slow down . This makes it tricky during the later jumps as you lose your momentum.

In multiplayer, the player who exits early can still adjust rope speed while another player keeps jumping. Use that control carefully: slow the rope when a partner is chasing a high milestone, or speed it only when the group is intentionally practicing faster timing.
When the rope accelerates, stabilize the pace again before chasing the next milestone. A consistent rhythm is usually better than reacting late to every speed change.
The jump rope has a particular rhythm that it follows. When you hear the whip sound of the vine, that's a sign that you should jump. Focusing on the sound could help you with your jumps when Bulbasaur speeds up.

Use the Pokemon Center doorway as your timing anchor during the contest. The rope moves quickly, so keep your focus on one fixed point and jump from that rhythm instead of tracking the whole animation.
Use Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest as a dated route guide, then verify the current in-game state before spending materials. Check the event window, confirm which reward path applies, and decide whether the next step is a challenge, shop exchange, Dream Island farming loop, habitat build, or Pokemon Center interaction. If one prerequisite is missing, put that blocker in the planner and finish the stable map, item, or habitat task first.

The Jump Rope Contest runs from April 19 at 5 AM to April 26 at 4:59 AM local time — a one-week window. Talk to Bulbasaur outside any Pokemon Center (even one that isn't fully rebuilt) to start a run.
Milestone rewards arrive roughly every 10 jumps: Leppa Berry (1), Honey x3 (11), Large Lost Relic x3 (21), Rainbow Feather x3 (31), Silver Feather x3 (41), Jump Rope Trophy (51), Pokemetal x30 (76), then Rare Pokemetal x10 at 101 / 111 / 121 / 131 jumps — capped at 40 Rare Pokemetal total.
Watch Bulbasaur's animation: an exclamation mark signals the rope is about to speed up, while a sweat drop means it slows down. Listening for the rope's whip sound and timing your jump to when the rope aligns with the Pokemon Center door is the most reliable rhythm cue.
Yes — invite a friend after talking to Bulbasaur to start a multiplayer run. Rewards are based on the highest scorer in the room, and only the host claims them on the spot. Other players collect their share from the PC under Get Items → Gifts From Pokemon You Played With.
